Brianna har varit lite frånvarande några dagar, medan Margareta och Minsann har ägnat sig åt vännens hundar och åt förlagsverksamhet. Nu börjar Brianna tycka att det är på tiden att komma igång med det där ”romance-skrivandet” – medan Margareta fortfarande grunnar på hur i all världen det ska gå till.

Minsann lägger sig inte i diskussionen på annat sätt än genom att kliva på tangenterna, nu när hon törs vara i köket och hundarna har åkt hem till sig.

Vad vet egentligen Brianna/Margareta om romantik? Nog för att de båda har läst massor av böcker och förmodligen studerat ämnet grundligt, men det gör det inte enklare att skriva om. Vad är romantik? Definition enligt Wikipedia varierar – antingen avses en konstnärlig epok beskriven på tyska som varken Brianna eller Margareta ids försöka läsa och översätta, eller så kommer två definitioner på engelska, enligt nedan:

”Popular romance” tycks kunna vara både det ena och det andra, och så kanske det är med romantik. Den gudomliga hoppar vi över här, den hör hemma annanstans. Blev vi klokare? Inte så värst.
